Arthritis Awareness & Lyme Disease
Knee osteoarthritis presents a multitude of challenges for those affected, such as reduced mobility and loss of quality of life, but the primary symptoms are pain and discomfort. Ask your doctor about ZILRETTA, the first and only FDA-approved treatment for osteoarthritis knee pain that uses extended-release microsphere technology designed to offer an extended-release corticosteroid.
Each year, some 300,000 people in the United States contract Lyme disease. Early detection and treatment are key. Now there’s a new rapid test that can change the game.

I have highly elevated TPOAb levels but my TSH and T3 and T4 are “normal”. I’ve had severe progressing symptoms of fatigue, inflammation (especially in my face), brain fog, joint pain, etc. my APRN just keeps telling me to lose weight and it’ll help. Turns out I have Hashimoto’s.

I wonder if it's possible to get the procedure in the thoracic region too. I had an incident that damaged the disc in the T5 area and any kind of compression from anything over 10kg hurts to the extent of me almost passing out at weights around 15-20kg due to the sharp pain.

It took me 3 years to get diagnosed the first time. My primary care doctor said he was "Looking for zebras". I had a large goiter. They said it was nothing to worry about so I didn't worry. Problem was I had the most intense itching in the soles of my feet and on my palms. I went nowhere without Benedryl and a PedEgg to scratch my feet. It was horrible. My doctor sent me to an allergist. He told me "You have thyroid cancer." He set me up for an ultrasound. The young man doing the ultrasound lost all the color in his face. He asked me if I would please wait he needed help. He came back in with a doctor that told me I had thyroid cancer. It was the size of a racquetball. I had surgery, lost ability to talk for 3 months and was never able to sing again. I had been a vocalist. I had RIA and was so sick everything I touched glowed in the dark. I took the color out of my leather couch when when I was able to come out of my room. It came back in a new spot in my throat 13 years later. This time I was treated at a fancy clinic out of state. They did the surgery and later RIA. I felt it when I was swallowing. I'd been having the problems with the soles of my feet itching again. I knew this time what it was. No one ever mention itching but was my only symptom.

No pain -- gentle moves. I'm 65. Did not want to have all those many surgeries! As long as i do my core exercises, i feel really good withvery little discomfort if any. Miracle huh? Thank God!

I need help to see if I have this condition. I've had eczema all my life, And I've developed rashes on my throat. Recently, I had problems with the ecemza around my eyes where they became itchy. And then I got eye conjunctivitis. Sometimes, My thyroid would swell, and it would be hard to breathe. I felt exhausted all the time and very forgetful. Any recommended way to get diagnosed would be great. My doctor truly believes that nothing is wrong with me.

My first symptoms were dry itchy skin, panic attacks feeling like someone is sitting on my chest, and pain in chest(something like heart attack). Later with time there were new symptoms like hair loss, weight loss, tiredness… They run some test and I was diagnosed with sub. hypo and hashimoto(my antibodies were veryyyy high). Doctors were deff thinking i was crazy… Thank God I am not. Listen to your body and gut, guys. With medication I am now better. Btw buy some vitamin D, suplements for thyroid…

Thank you for sharing your experience. Im going to see a rheumatologist this week and I'm nervous. I was told," ya, maybe long covid" although both can be true. I have a history of depression, so I'm concerned they'll look at me as not being 'valid' in my symptoms. Or, all in my head. I look back and see symptoms that I never put too much thought to.Now, I see a definite connection. Hope your well. Thanks again 😊

Just use two pillows, lie down one pillow so the pillow goes down to your armpit lower if it supports you better, you'll feel when it's just right. Then the second pillow folded above it to hold your head. Find a position that works for you but the pillow all the way at or below armpits has to stay there if you sleep on your side or back. Let me know if it helps you.
